GG.Bet review for UK players

UK Esports Betting does not list GG.Bet and carries no button to it. Every bookmaker on this site holds a Gambling Commission licence, and a surrendered licence rules GG.Bet out. Our team tests and checks every fact on this page, and each bookmaker goes through the register before it is rated. Below you will find the register entry, what it means for a UK bettor, the steps to run the same check yourself and the licensed bookmakers with esports markets. You must be 18 or over to bet.

The GG.Bet licence record

The register holds this record for the account that carries the GGBET and DR.BET trading names.

What the register tells a UK bettor

A remote licence is the one the Gambling Commission requires for any gambling provided to players online. The account behind GG.Bet held two of them, one for casino and one for general betting on real events, and the register marks both as surrendered. Surrendered means the holder gave the licence up. The end date in the table is the day it stopped, so the account holds no licence in force for either activity. The trading names and the domain are marked Inactive as well.

An entry that is in force reads Active in the same place. That is the status our team looks for on every bookmaker on this site.

The register also gives two pointers for players. If you are in Great Britain and have been offered gambling by someone who does not appear to hold a licence, you can report it to the Commission in confidence, as it may be illegal. If you disagree with a gambling business about a result or its service, make your complaint to that business first.

How to check any bookmaker on the register

  1. Open the Gambling Commission public register and choose Businesses.
  2. Search by the account number, or by the domain the bookmaker uses. The account number is the short one, such as 56377. It is not the longer licence number, such as 056377-R-332572-006.
  3. Open the business record. The licence summary shows each activity with its status, start date and end date.
  4. Read the status next to each activity. Active is what you want.
  5. Open the Trading names and Domain names tabs. The brand and the domain you use should appear there.
  6. Match the account number to the one the bookmaker gives for its licence. A logo on a site is not a check.

Four examples from the bookmakers we have rated, each Active when we checked on 13 October 2026:

  • Betway: account number 39372, domain betway.com
  • William Hill: account number 39225, domain williamhill.com
  • Unibet: account number 45322, domain unibet.co.uk
  • Midnite: account number 101839, domain midnite.com

Searching 56377 gives the GG.Bet record in the table above.

Licensed bookmakers with esports markets

GG.Bet is not listed. The licensed bookmakers our team has rated that list esports among their markets are Midnite and Betway. Both hold an active Gambling Commission licence.

Midnite lists esports and sets betting rules for it. A series bet is void and refunded when the match is suspended or postponed and not resumed within 48 hours. A bet on a map that is never played because the series is already decided is refunded. Counter-Strike map round handicaps include overtime unless stated otherwise, and League of Legends dragon bets count both elemental and elder drakes. Esports bets on Midnite carry a maximum payout of £25,000.

Betway lists Esports among 29 sports, with in-play betting marked against it.

For game by game coverage, see League of Legends, CS2, Dota 2 and Valorant.

Bet within your limits

Set a deposit limit, a loss limit and a time limit before a series starts, and fix the budget for a match before the first map. Esports matches run at every hour and in-play prices move quickly. Midnite lets you limit deposits and losses over a set period, exclude yourself for a definite period or apply a Cool Off. Betway offers a deposit limit, session reminders, a self assessment, Take a Break, account closure and self-exclusion. A free bet, a price boost or a big final is never a reason to raise a limit or chase a loss. Gamstop blocks every gambling website and app licensed in Great Britain at once. Questions

Does GG.Bet hold a UK licence?

No. The register lists no licence in force for it. The same record gives the account holder's head office as Office 9.17, 21b, Capital Tower, 91 Waterloo Road, London, SE1 8RT. An address in London does not stand in for a licence: the status beside each activity is what counts, and for both activities it reads Surrendered.

Where can I bet on esports with a UK licence?

Choose a bookmaker with an Active register entry that lists your game among its esports markets, then read how it settles a forfeit or a replayed map before you stake. Midnite, for one, sets out rules for Counter-Strike and League of Legends on top of its general esports rules. Check the game and the competition on the day you bet, because bookmakers change what they list.

What does a surrendered licence mean?

On the register, every licensed activity carries a status, a start date and an end date. Surrendered is one of the statuses, and it is not Active. A logo or a claim on a brand's site does not change it: the register entry is the record, and a bookmaker that shows it does not pass our checks.

How do I check a bookmaker on the Gambling Commission register?

The register is public. Start from the bookmaker's account number or domain, then compare the licence account name on the record with the company named in the bookmaker's own terms. Our team makes that comparison for every bookmaker it rates. If the names differ, ask the bookmaker's support which company runs your account.

A link would send readers to a brand with no licence in force, and a button would suggest we recommend it. Naming it here, with the record beside it, lets you see why it is left out. For our team the deciding fact is the register status, and nothing else about the brand changes that.

Can I use GG.Bet from the UK?

We do not recommend it, and this site carries no way to reach it. A UK player who wants esports markets can use a licensed bookmaker instead, and the section on licensed bookmakers names two that list them.

If you think we are wrong

When a bookmaker changes a term, a market or a figure, our team reads the bookmaker's pages again and corrects this page. Corrections come from our own rechecks. How we check facts is set out in how we rate.
