Betway rates highest of the three licensed bookmakers on this site that list Valorant, ahead of Unibet and William Hill. Every bookmaker on this site holds a Gambling Commission licence. Ratings on the cards are out of 5. Before a bet, compare which Valorant competitions each one lists, how it settles a bet when a map or match is cut short, and what its welcome free bet asks for. Check that in-play betting is open too, because a Valorant series moves map by map. Our team tests and checks each fact below against the bookmakers' pages and the game maker's pages.
Valorant is a free-to-play 5v5 tactical shooter made by Riot Games. Each player picks an agent with its own abilities. A side has 13 rounds to attack and defend, and each player has one life per round. The game has Competitive and Unranked modes, plus Deathmatch and Spike Rush. Riot added a new duelist agent, Hush, in Season 26, Act VI.
Matches are played on maps: Summit, Corrode, Abyss, Sunset, Lotus, Pearl, Fracture, Breeze, Icebox, Ascent, Split, Haven and Bind. Corrode and Sunset are traditional three-lane maps. Summit has droppable walls that change the layout of the map for a whole round. Lotus has three sites, reached through stone doors, and Pearl has two sites in an underwater city.
A Valorant series is made of maps, and each map is made of rounds. Matches at the tour's events are played as a best-of-three or a best-of-five, and the team that wins the most maps wins the series.
Bookmakers therefore settle bets on three units: the series, a single map and a single round. A team can lose a map and still win the series, so a map bet and a match bet on the same team can finish differently. The name of a market tells you which unit it settles on, so read it before you stake.
Riot Games runs the Valorant Champions Tour (VCT). In 2026 the tour has four regions, Americas, EMEA, Pacific and China, each with its own regional events, and international events bring the regions together.
From 2023 to 2026 the tour used a franchised model. Riot selected 30 partner teams, with 10 in each of Americas, EMEA and Pacific, and each region had an International League that replaced Challengers as the way to qualify for Masters and Champions. A China league followed in August 2023 and took the number of partner teams to 40. Teams outside the partnership played Challengers events and could win a place in a league through Ascension. Each region's league grew to a cap of 12 teams in 2025. Riot ended the franchised era in 2026, a year ahead of plan.
On 8 April 2026 Riot announced a new format for the 2027 season. It keeps the three-split season but returns to regional open qualifiers, and every team, partners included, must play through them. The leagues are disbanded. In Stage 1 and Stage 2 the best teams from the qualifiers play in a new international event called Cups, which sends the top teams to Masters and Champions. Kickoff keeps a separate format for its international tournament. Partnerships move to a two-year cycle in 2027. Sign-ups for the 2027 VCT EMEA Kickoff qualifiers were announced on 15 October 2026.
Riot Games organises the VCT, a global series announced in 2020 whose first season ran in 2021. A season is a run of regional and international events that ends with Valorant Champions. The 2026 season moved from Kickoff through Masters Santiago, Stage 1, Masters London and Stage 2 to Champions Shanghai. Betway lists the VALORANT Champions Tour.
These are the regional events of the tour, played in VCT EMEA, VCT Americas, VCT Pacific and VCT CN. In 2026 Kickoff ran from 15 January to 15 February, Stage 1 from 1 April to 18 May and Stage 2 from 30 June to 6 September. Each region runs its own.
Masters events are international tournaments held between the regional stages. Masters Santiago follows Kickoff and Masters London follows Stage 1. In 2026 Masters Santiago ran from 28 February to 16 March and Masters London from 6 June to 21 June.
Valorant Champions is the top-level event of the tour, and Champions Shanghai followed Stage 2 in 2026. The 2021 edition was held at the Verti Music Hall in Berlin from 1 to 12 December, where Acend beat Gambit Esports 3-2 in the grand final. The 2022 edition was held in Istanbul from 1 to 18 September, where LOUD beat OpTic Gaming 3-1. William Hill lists the Valorant Champions tournament.
VCT Game Changers is a supplementary tournament initiative for women and marginalised genders, announced by Riot in February 2021. It runs beside the main tour with its own regional events, including Game Changers Pacific and Game Changers LCQ Americas, and a Game Changers Championship.
Unibet lists Monsters Reloaded under its Valorant competitions.
Each row shows the Valorant competition a bookmaker lists and the bet types it lists. Cells that begin with Esports apply to esports as a whole, not to Valorant alone. Prices are left out because they change by the minute.
| Bookmaker | Competitions | Bet types |
|---|---|---|
| VALORANT Champions Tour | Esports: match winner, map winner, tournament winner, correct score. Live esports: map winner, next map, round winner, first blood | |
| Monsters Reloaded | Match winner, map handicap, outrights | |
| Valorant Champions tournament | Outright winner and round betting for Valorant. Esports: match winner, correct score, winner of the first, second or third round, first blood |
Match winner: the team that takes the series. Map winner: the team that takes one named map. Correct score: the exact map scoreline of a series, such as 2-0 or 2-1 in a best-of-three. Map handicap: you back a team to win by more than one map.
Round winner: pick which team wins a single round. First blood: pick which team scores the first kill.
Betway settles Valorant in-game bets with specific points. A round in which the spike explodes and kills the remaining opposing players counts as a round elimination, not a spike explosion. A spike-plant bet stands only if at least one player from each team is alive when the spike is planted, and a spike planted after the round is complete is ignored. Kill bets count only that player's own kills, so a kill by spike explosion does not count.
Tournament winner, also called an outright: a bet on one team to take a whole event, such as a Masters or Champions. At Betway a team counts as an entrant once it plays at least one map. A non-starter is a no bet, and an entrant that later leaves the tournament is settled as a loser. For bet types in other games, see Esports betting markets explained.
Betway settles esports bets on the official result supplied by the tournament officials. If a team's line-up changes once markets have closed, all bets stand, including when another person stands in after a connection error.
The Valorant events on the three bookmakers' lists are the VALORANT Champions Tour at Betway, Monsters Reloaded at Unibet and the Valorant Champions tournament at William Hill. Champions Shanghai ran from 24 September to 18 October 2026, with group matches played as best-of-three and the final as a best-of-five.
The Game Changers Championship follows. Its knockout matches run from 22 October to 31 October 2026 and its finals are on 1 November 2026. Knockout matches are best-of-three, except the match on 31 October, which is a best-of-five, and the finals are a best-of-five.
Betway Limited holds Gambling Commission account number 39372, and the Betway review for UK players rates Betway 4.2 out of 5. Valorant sits in its esports section, which has its own settlement points for Valorant bets. The sports welcome offer needs a qualifying stake of £10 on a pre-event bet and awards £40 in free bets. Betway's esports maximum payout is £100,000. Cash out is offered on a range of sports and markets.
Platinum Gaming Limited, which runs Unibet, holds Gambling Commission licence number 45322, and the Unibet review for UK players gives Unibet 3.9 out of 5. Valorant sits in its esports lobby beside match winner and map handicap markets. The sports welcome offer headline is £40 in free bets for a £20 bet. Unibet offers cash out, a bet builder, live streaming and in-play betting.
WHG (International) Limited holds Gambling Commission account number 39225 and runs William Hill, which scores 3.8 out of 5 in the William Hill review for UK players. Valorant bets there cover round betting and the outright winner. The sports welcome offer needs a £10 deposit and a £10 single bet, and it awards £30 in free bets. The esports payout limit is £25,000 on tournament outrights and match winner markets and £10,000 on all other markets. William Hill offers Cash Out and the WHTV live streaming service.
Live esports betting opens once a match has started, and the markets update as the game unfolds. Betway lists map winner, next map and round winner as common live markets, with first blood or next kill in shooters. The stream a bettor watches usually runs a few seconds behind Betway's live data, so a market can move or suspend before the play reaches the screen. Betway can void a bet, win or lose, placed after the outcome of an event is known or after the selected team has gained a material advantage.
William Hill puts every in-play bet through an automated time delay before it is accepted. If the price changes before you press Place Bet, the bet slip updates. After you press it, a marginal change means the bet is accepted at the larger price, and a bigger change means it is not placed and is offered again at the new price. William Hill can suspend a market when something significant happens or is likely to, and during a suspension bets cannot be placed and Cash Out may not be available. Live scores and times are a guide only: Betway shows them for display and never settles on them, and William Hill assumes no liability if they are wrong.
At Betway, a match that starts but is not completed is void, unless a team is disqualified, in which case the team progressing to the next round is the winner. Totals bets are void if the map is not completed, and correct score and to-win-a-map bets are void if the match is not completed. Valorant bets settle on regulation time including overtime, and a two-way win/win market is void if the match is drawn. A match not played within 3 hours of its original start is void, or within 48 hours at a LAN event. All outright bets are void if a tournament is not completed.
At William Hill, abandoned or postponed events are void unless a specific provision covers the sport. Markets already resolved when an event is abandoned stand.
Each welcome offer is for new customers, and free bet expiry is 7 days at Betway, Unibet and William Hill. Betway asks for a pre-event bet at minimum odds of 2.0, and its £40 arrives as four £10 free bets with betting restrictions. William Hill asks for a single bet at minimum odds of 1/2, and its three £10 free bets work on any sports market except Virtuals, cannot be withdrawn and must be used in full. Unibet's free bets follow a qualifying stake of £20+ and come as two £10 free bets at minimum odds of 2/5 (1.4). They are valid on horse racing only, so they cannot be used on Valorant. See Esports betting offers for the wider comparison.
Ratings are out of 5 and combine criteria such as the welcome free bet, betting features, account and safety, markets, support and mobile. Betway, at 4.2, has the highest rating and a higher esports maximum payout than William Hill. Unibet, at 3.9, has the longest feature list. William Hill, at 3.8, has the smallest of the three headline offers, £30 in free bets, and its welcome offer works on any sports market except Virtuals.
Set a deposit limit, a loss limit and a time limit before a series starts. Esports matches run at every hour and in-play prices move quickly, so fix the budget for a match before it begins and keep to it. A free bet, a price boost or a big final is never a reason to raise a limit or chase a loss. Betway, Unibet and William Hill all offer deposit limits and self-exclusion, and Betway and William Hill add session reminders. Gamstop blocks every online site licensed in Great Britain at once. You must be 18 or over to bet. For help, call the National Gambling Helpline on 0808 8020 133 (England and Scotland) or the NHS Wales Helpline on 0808 2819 265 (Wales). GambleAware also offers support.
Betway, Unibet and William Hill, each beside other games. Betway's esports list also carries CS2, League of Legends, Dota 2, Rainbow Six, Arena of Valor, CrossFire, Honor Of Kings, Mobile Legends and Overwatch 2. Unibet's carries CS2, Dota 2, League of Legends, Overwatch and Rainbow Six. William Hill covers League of Legends, Counter-Strike, Dota 2, StarCraft 2, Overwatch and King of Glory.
It is the global competitive series for Valorant, and it began with three tiers. Challengers was split into seven regions: North America, Brazil, Latin America, EMEA, Southeast Asia, Korea and Japan. Masters brought teams together without regional divisions, and Champions, the final tournament, took the top 16 teams from Masters. More than 10,000 teams competed in the 2021 season.
Yes, where a bookmaker has the match open for live betting. Betway marks Esports as in-play on its sports list. Its cash out works on pre-game and in-play bets, including a partial cash out, though Betway does not guarantee that cash out is available at all times.
No. A Gambling Commission licence covers how a bookmaker operates, not which games it offers, so each bookmaker decides its own esports list. Our team reads that list for Valorant before a bookmaker goes on the cards.
Maps are the arenas where each game of a series is played, and each has its own layout. Bind has two sites, no middle and a pair of one-way teleporters. Haven has three sites. Split has two sites on either side of an elevated centre, with two rope ascenders. Ascent has two sites that can be fortified with bomb doors. Icebox has two plant sites and ziplines. Breeze is a tropical map with wide open spaces and long range engagements. Fracture is a research facility split in two, where defenders can meet attackers on the attackers' side or hold back.
Most bets are void, with a few exceptions. At Betway a team that taps out, for example by calling GG before the final objective, is settled as a loser. Betway can also void all bets on a game when a team's performance is hindered, for example when a server change leaves a team unable to play at a competitive level.
When a bookmaker changes a term, a market or a figure, our team reads the bookmaker's pages again and corrects this page. Corrections can be sent to info@esportsbookies.co.uk. How we check facts is explained in how we rate.
