Review

Unibet review for UK players

Unibet puts the four games this site covers inside a full sportsbook, so match winner, map handicap and outright markets sit beside a bet builder, live streaming and cash out. It suits a bettor who wants esports and football or racing under one account. Deposit limits, a net deposit limit and self-exclusion are on the account, and the apps run on iOS and Android. Our team tests and checks every fact on this page before it goes live.

Esports at Unibet

Esports has its own section in the Unibet sportsbook, listed beside football, tennis and racing in the all-sports menu. The section has Featured, Next to go, Competitions and Outrights views. Featured groups the current matches by competition, and matches that have started are marked Live. Competitions lists the tournaments for each game. Outrights holds the markets on a whole event, such as a tournament winner, rather than one match.

Six games are listed: League of Legends, Counter-Strike 2, Dota 2, Valorant, Overwatch and Rainbow Six. This site covers the first four. Counter-Strike 2 is the free upgrade to CS:GO, and Unibet lists its matches under CS2.

The lobby is headed by Match Winner and Map Handicap. Match Winner is a bet on which team wins the whole match. A map handicap gives one team a virtual lead in maps, which evens out a match with a clear favourite. Further bet types are covered game by game below, and Esports betting markets explained sets out how each one settles.

Games and competitions at Unibet

League of Legends

The featured competitions are the EMEA Masters and the World Championships Play-In. Outrights for the 2026 World Championship include the winner, a first-time winner market, the region of the winner (LCK, LPL, LEC, LCS and LCP), a winner market without Gen.G and a highest KDA market for one team's players.

Match markets cover the match winner, the winner of each individual game, handicaps and champion kills, such as which team reaches 10 champion kills first or whether a team's total passes 23.5. A -1.5 handicap on a best-of-three means the team must win 2-0 for the bet to win.

The 2026 World Championship runs from 15 October to 14 November. Swiss stage matches are played as best-of-one and best-of-three, and the quarterfinals and semifinals as best-of-five. For the leagues behind these markets, see LoL esports betting on leagues and tournaments.

Counter-Strike 2

The featured competitions are ST Ranked, DraculaN, Private Club and PGL Bucharest Qualifiers. The lobby also carries United21, NODWIN Clutch Series, TP World Championship, CCT European Series and CCT South American Series matches.

The markets are the match winner, the outright winner of a tournament, map betting, map handicap, correct score and over/under on rounds played. A +2.5 map handicap gives a team a virtual lead of 2.5 maps, so the opponent must win by three maps or more for a bet on the underdog to lose. An over/under bet asks whether a match lasts more or fewer rounds than a set line, such as 22.5.

Overpass, Nuke and Dust II are among the game's maps. More on the game is in How to bet on Counter-Strike 2.

Dota 2

The featured competitions are EPL Masters and FISSURE Universe. The markets are the match winner, the winner of an individual game (a map, usually the first or last), outrights on tournaments including The International, and handicaps. A -1.5 handicap means the team must win by two clear games.

Specials include the most picked or most banned hero, which map in a match lasts the longest or shortest, and the first team to complete an objective, such as the first kill or the first hit on the Ancient. Many Dota 2 markets are also offered in play. Other bookmakers for the game are on Dota 2 betting sites.

Valorant

Valorant is listed with Monsters Reloaded as its featured competition. For other Valorant events and the bookmakers that cover them, see Valorant betting sites.

Welcome offer and esports bets

Unibet's new sports welcome offer gives £40 in free bets when you bet £20. The qualifying stake is £20 or more, and the free bets are for sports. Free bets expire within 7 days of issue.

Welcome offers at the other bookmakers on this site are set side by side on Esports betting offers.

Other promotions

Unibet's sportsbook promotions include Uniboosts, odds boosts available daily, and daily bet builder boosts. Acca Insurance and Combo Boost are also listed, and Boosted Odds come as Price Boost and Super Boost.

Add Selections lets you add legs to a bet you have already placed. Cash out may stay available on the edited bet if every selection, including the added ones, is eligible for it. Refer a Friend pays a £10 free bet, with minimum odds of Evens (2.0) and a 7 day expiry.

Betting features

Cash out

Cash out is offered on eligible bets. It lets you settle a bet before the outcome is decided, either to secure part of the winnings or to reduce a loss, and the money is credited to your account straight away.

Bet builder

The bet builder combines several selections from one match into a single bet and removes any selection that contradicts one you have already made. It accepts up to 12 selections and offers pre-match markets only. FIFA esports is among the events it covers. In the sports app it works the same way as on the website.

Live streaming

Live streaming runs through Unibet TV. You can watch when you are logged in and have money in your account, or when you have placed a bet in the last 24 hours.

In-play betting

The esports lobby has an In-Play view, and matches in progress are marked Live. In-play markets are offered on League of Legends, Counter-Strike 2 and Dota 2, and the prices change as each match develops.

Deposits and withdrawals

Payment methods include Visa and Trustly. Unibet never charges a fee for a deposit. The standard minimum withdrawal is £5 to any payment service, and Unibet may amend that figure from time to time.

Mobile app and site

Unibet has three apps: sports, casino and poker. Each is available for iOS from the App Store and for Android from Google Play. The sports app is the one for betting, with live sports, real-time updates and live streaming. You need a Unibet account and an internet connection, and the apps run on phones and tablets.

Customer support

Support runs through live chat and email. Unibet describes its live chat as 24/7.

Account, verification and complaints

You must be 18 or over to bet and to take part in promotions. Unibet may ask for documents to carry out verification checks, for example a passport, driving licence, birth certificate, financial statements, documents that support the spending on the account, or proof of address. It can also ask for proof of identity before awarding a prize.

Only one account is allowed with each of Unibet's brands. An account that stays inactive can be charged a monthly inactive account fee of £5. That follows at least 30 days after Unibet's first notification and an attempt to return the balance to your last payment method.

A complaint about a promotion goes through the complaints policy of Platinum Gaming Limited, and its decisions on a promotion are final subject to your right to refer the decision to that policy. A dispute about whether Unibet acted reasonably can be referred to eCogra, its independent ADR provider, or decided by the courts.

Licence and company

Unibet is operated by Platinum Gaming Limited, a company incorporated in Gibraltar with company registration number 114100 and a registered office at Sovereign Place, 117 Main Street, Gibraltar, GX11 1AA. Platinum Gaming Limited holds Gambling Commission account 45322 for customers located in Great Britain, and the licence is active.

The parent group is FDJ United. Unibet began in 1997. It accepts customers resident in the United Kingdom, Gibraltar, the Isle of Man and the Channel Islands.

How Unibet compares

Safer betting at Unibet

Set your limits before a series starts, not during it. Unibet's account tools are a Deposit Limit, a Net Deposit Limit, a Product Block, product restrictions, a Player Profile test and Self Exclusion. Esports matches run at every hour and in-play prices move quickly, so decide the budget for a match before it starts. A free bet, a price boost or a big final is never a reason to raise a limit or chase a loss.

Gamstop blocks every online gambling site and app licensed in Great Britain at once, and each gambling business also keeps its own self-exclusion arrangements. For help, the National Gambling Helpline (England and Scotland) is 0808 8020 133, and the NHS Wales Helpline (Wales) is 0808 2819 265. GambleAware gives wider information on support, and these services are for residents of Great Britain.
