League of Legends odds explained

Fractional odds compare profit with stake. At 1/1 the profit equals the stake, at 4/1 the profit is four times the stake, and at 1/2 it is half the stake. Decimal odds give the total return for each 1 staked, stake included, so a decimal price is the fraction worked out as a number plus 1: 1/1 is 2.0, 3/1 is 4.0 and 4/1 is 5.0.

Midnite's welcome offer gives a worked example. It sets minimum odds of 1/1 (2.0) on a qualifying stake of £10. A £10 bet at 1/1 returns £10 in profit, £20 in total with the stake. In decimal the sum is one step: £10 multiplied by 2.0 is £20.

The format changes how a price is written, never what a bet pays. A shorter price pays less profit for the same stake. The same minimum applies in either format, so 1/1 and 2.0 are one price written two ways.

Midnite writes a decimal beside the fraction in its welcome offer: 1/1 (2.0), 3/1 (4.0) and 4/1 (5.0). Unibet does the same with 2/5 (1.4), and writes Evens (2.0) for a minimum of evens. William Hill writes its welcome minimum as a fraction alone, 1/2+. Betway writes its welcome minimum as a decimal, 2.0, and shows fractional prices on its League of Legends World Championship listing.

A term in one format and a price in another can sit side by side at the same bookmaker. Where only one format is given, the other is a quick conversion using the rule above.

A series is the whole match and a map is one game inside it. A match winner bet backs the team that takes the series. A map winner bet backs one game, and Unibet offers a market on each individual game of a best-of-three or best-of-five series. Map handicap adds a head start or deficit in maps before the series is settled: a -1.5 handicap on a best-of-three needs a 2-0 win to pay. Correct score names the exact map result.

Midnite settles unplayed and changed series as follows. Bets on a map that is never played because the series is already decided are void and refunded: in a best-of-three won 2-0, Map 3 bets are refunded. If the announced number of maps changes, or the series is offered with the wrong format, bets that depend on the number of maps played, such as Match Handicap and Correct Score, have no action. Match Winner bets stand, and map bets stand as long as the map is played. A suspended or postponed series that does not resume within 48 hours has its series bets refunded, while a map played inside that window settles as usual.

Each lane has three turrets and one inhibitor, and each Nexus is guarded by two turrets. Baron Nashor and the Drakes are neutral monsters whose kills give a team buffs.

Midnite has dedicated rules for League of Legends. Total Dragons and Second Dragon bets count elemental and elder drakes, and Dragon and Drake mean the same thing. Total Barons bets are on Baron Nashor only. In inhibitor totals and handicaps each inhibitor counts once, even if it respawns and is destroyed again. Structure bets credit every building to the opposing team, whoever landed the last hit, minions included. First Blood is settled on the in-game announcement, kill totals on the in-game scoreboard and timed bets on the in-game clock. Unibet also offers first to 10 champion kills and total champion kills.

On a surrender, Midnite settles tower and inhibitor bets as if the winning team had destroyed the fewest further structures needed to win normally. A team that has destroyed all tier 1 towers and one tier 2 tower is treated as having destroyed three more, 7 in total. An inhibitor already down at the surrender means no further inhibitor is counted.

Prices move in play because the bookmaker re-prices as the series develops, and the data behind a live price runs slightly behind the match. In-play data at Midnite is subject to a delay. Betway uses scores and timing for display only, not for settlement, and may void a bet placed after the outcome is known or after a team has gained a material advantage. Its live video typically runs 2 to 5 seconds behind the event, and sometimes longer.

William Hill applies an automated time delay to in-play bets before accepting them. A price that changes before the bet is placed updates in the slip. After the bet is placed, a marginal change means the bet is accepted at the larger price, while a more significant change means it is not placed and is offered again at the new price. Markets are suspended when something significant happens or is likely to, and bets cannot be placed while a market is suspended. Unibet adds a delay of a few seconds between placing and acceptance, so that a major event does not shift the price while a bet is being made.

Midnite lists Racing Boosts every day, Horse Racing Price Boosts and a general Boosts offer. Unibet lists Uniboosts daily, an Acca Boost with 3 tokens a day and a maximum stake of £20, a racing Uniboost and bet builder boosts. Betway has a Betway Boosts entry in its sports menu. None of these names esports. A boost raises the price on one selection, so the return rises while the stake stays the same.

Every welcome free bet sets a minimum price for the qualifying bet. Midnite asks for a £10 single at 1/1 (2.0) or higher within 14 days of sign-up, and splits the £30 in free bets into a £10 single at 1/1 (2.0), three £5 pre-match bet builders at 3/1 (4.0) with 3 selections and a £5 pre-match accumulator at 4/1 (5.0) with 4 or more selections.

Betway asks for a £10 pre-event bet at 2.0 or higher and pays £40 as four £10 free bet tokens. William Hill asks for a £10 single at 1/2 or longer on any sports market except Virtuals and pays £30 as three £10 free bets. Unibet's racing welcome offer sets 2/5 (1.4) for two £10 free bets, which are for horse racing only.

The free bet expiry is 7 days at all four. Midnite does not return the free stake with winnings, and a voided or cashed out bet does not qualify. Midnite's welcome free bets do not count a qualifying bet placed with another promotion, and Unibet's racing welcome offer excludes bets placed with enhanced odds, profit boosts or special boosted odds. Compare like with like. Match the market first: a match winner price against a match winner price, a map handicap against the same line. Match the series length: Worlds 2026 plays best-of-one and best-of-three series in its Swiss stage and best-of-five series from the quarterfinals. Match the time, because the same price may not stand an hour later, and match the format by converting fractions and decimals first.

Then read the conditions behind the price. Midnite's maximum payout for esports is £25,000, and £250,000 per calendar day for any bet or combination of bets. Betway lists League of Legends World Championship matches with fractional prices, and Unibet offers match winner, single game and handicap bets on the game.
