Review

Midnite review for UK players

Midnite is a Gambling Commission licensed bookmaker that takes bets on esports, and our team rates it 3.1 out of 5. The case for it is a £30 welcome free bet for a £10 stake, a complaints route to an outside body and live chat. The case against is narrow coverage: Markets scores 1 of 5 and betting features 2 of 5 in our rating. Esports bets settle under rules written for each game, and these matter when a match ends early or a team forfeits. Our team tests and checks every fact below before it goes on the page.

Esports at Midnite

Midnite's esports betting covers League of Legends, Counter-Strike and Dota 2.

Series markets include Match Winner, Match Handicap and Correct Score. A Map Winner market runs on each map, numbered Map 1, Map 2 and so on. Kills markets include Kills Total, Kills Handicap, Most Kills and First to X Kills, and First Blood is a market of its own. Race To and First To markets ask which side reaches a target first, such as First to 20 Kills. Head-to-head and player prop bets name individual players, and every listed player must start at least one map for the bet to stand. Time-based markets run on the in-game clock. Outright markets cover a whole tournament, and selections from several matches can be joined in a multiple. Markets particular to one game are covered under that game below.

Games and competitions at Midnite

League of Legends

League of Legends belongs to Riot Games, and its esports season runs in splits. Each split has regional leagues: LEC, LCS, CBLOL, LCK, LPL and LCP. International events follow: First Stand after Split 1, MSI after Split 2 and Worlds after Split 3. Worlds 2026 runs from 15 October to 14 November, with a Swiss stage followed by best-of-five (Bo5) quarterfinals and semifinals.

Inhibitor totals and handicaps count each inhibitor once, even if it respawns and is destroyed again. If a team surrenders, tower and inhibitor bets settle as if the winner had destroyed the minimum extra towers and inhibitors needed to win normally. A winner that has destroyed all tier 1 towers and one tier 2 tower is deemed to have destroyed three additional towers, 7 in total. Total Dragons and Second Dragon bets count both elemental and elder drakes, and Dragon and Drake are used interchangeably. Total Barons and Second Baron bets are on Baron Nashor.

Counter-Strike

Counter-Strike 2 is Valve's free upgrade to CS:GO, and its Premier mode is a pick-ban competitive mode.

Kill markets (Team to Score a Knife Kill, Team to Score Next Kill, a kill with a high explosive grenade, a kill with a Molotov or incendiary grenade) count only kills against the enemy team. Map rounds handicap includes overtime unless stated otherwise, and a pistol round is the first round of either half. Race to 3, 6, 9 and 12 rounds markets can take up to 2 hours to settle.

A match cancelled before it starts voids all bets. A match postponed for more than 48 hours voids all bets, and one postponed for less keeps them. If a match is abandoned after it starts, markets that have reached their natural conclusion settle and the rest are void. If a map has started and is won through a surrender, forfeit or admin decision, all bets on the match are void, which is stricter than the general esports rule where decided bets stand. A team that changes more than two players counts as a different team and bets are void, unless the change was public before the match was priced.

Round handicap bets after a forfeit use the round score at that moment. With Team A ahead 13-6, a +4.5 handicap on Team A wins and a +3.5 is void, because a comeback to 15-15 and overtime is still possible.

Dota 2

Roshan markets settle on the team that slays Roshan, not on who picks up the Aegis or anything else Roshan drops. For structure markets, every destroyed building counts as destroyed by the opposing team, whoever landed the last hit, minions and creeps included.

Welcome offer and esports bets

The sports welcome offer is for new customers aged 18 or over. Register with the code BETGET30 and deposit at least £10. The qualifying stake is £10, a single sportsbook bet at minimum odds of 1/1 (2.0), placed within 14 days of sign-up. The £30 in free bets is split across 3 bet types:

  • One £10 free bet on a single at minimum odds of 1/1 (2.0).
  • Three £5 free bets on pre-match Bet Builders, each at minimum odds of 3/1 (4.0) with at least 3 selections.
  • One £5 free bet on a pre-match accumulator at minimum odds of 4/1 (5.0) with 4 or more selections.

The free bet expiry is 7 days after crediting. Free bets cannot be withdrawn, and the free stake is not returned with winnings. Voided bets, cashed out bets and bets placed with free bets or another promotion do not qualify. Free bets cannot be used on Each Way bets or together with another promotion. Only eligible Sportsbook markets count, Virtual Sports are excluded, and stake, odds, market and bet type restrictions apply. Offers from other bookmakers are set side by side on Esports betting offers.

Other promotions

Midnite runs weekly bet clubs: Bet Club, Acca Club and Bet Builder Club. Each has its own T&Cs and an opt-in. Bet Club offers up to £20 in free bets in a week. Acca Club pays up to a £10 free bet, and Bet Builder Club gives a £5 free bet when you place a £10 Bet Builder. Free bets from the clubs are credited when qualifying bets settle, last 7 days and do not return the stake.

Boosts run alongside: Racing Boosts every day, Horse Racing Price Boosts and general Boosts. 2UP early payout is also available. The Racing Welcome Offer has minimum odds of 1/1 (2.0) and a £20 maximum reward. Several of these are built around racing, so check which markets qualify before staking on esports.

Betting features

Cash out

Midnite is free to switch cash out off on any account at any time. If it is unavailable, whether through site maintenance or a bet grading error, no compensation is owed.

Bet Builder and accumulators

Midnite offers Bet Builder bets, which join several selections from one match into a single bet. If one leg of an accumulator is a push, cancellation, no action or void, the payout is recalculated on the legs that remain.

In-play betting

Midnite offers in-play betting and broadcasts video feeds for in-play events. In-play data and those feeds run on a delay that varies with device and connection, so treat in-play information as a guide only. Midnite accepts no liability for incorrect in-play information. A bet placed after the result is already known is void, win or lose. If a match starts before its listed time, a bet placed after the real start on a market that is not offered in play is void, and bets placed before the real start stand.

Maximum payouts

The maximum payout for esports is £25,000, the same figure as for Aussie Rules, Bowls, Handball and Volleyball. The highest sport figure is £250,000, for Horse Racing Tier 1 competitions and Football Tier 1 competitions. Across all sports, any bet or combination of bets by one person is capped at £250,000 per calendar day.

Deposits and withdrawals

Midnite takes deposits and pays withdrawals by Visa and Mastercard debit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Pay By Bank and Revolut Pay. The minimum deposit is £5 and the maximum is £5,000 on each method, and deposits are instant. The withdrawal limits are £5,000 per method. Withdrawals to a debit card take up to 5 business days. Withdrawals by Apple Pay, Google Pay, Pay By Bank and Revolut Pay take up to 72h.

Mobile app and site

Midnite is played on the website and in its mobile applications, with the App Store and Google Play as the download routes.

Customer support

Midnite lists live chat, email, a Telegram bot, post and phone. Midnite describes live chat as the quickest way to reach the support team and asks you to use the chat button. A formal complaint follows the route set out in the next section.

Account, verification and complaints

You must be 18 or over to register for an account. Midnite carries out verification checks to meet its legal and regulatory obligations. It may verify your age, identity, address, location, financial circumstances and the source of the funds you deposit, and it may add credit and fraud prevention checks. It may ask for a passport, driving licence, financial statements, documents that support the expenditure on your account and proof of address. You can register only one account, and it works across all Midnite services. To register you must not have had an account with Midnite or its corporate group that was restricted or closed for any reason.

A complaint can be made within 6 months of the incident, and after that Midnite will not consider or respond to it. Midnite acknowledges a complaint within 24 hours and aims to resolve it within 15 working days. If that is not possible, it gives an explanation and a date for a full and final response, which will be within 8 weeks. If the dispute is still unsettled after 8 weeks, either you or Midnite may refer it to the Independent Betting Adjudication Service (IBAS).

Every bookmaker in this comparison holds a Gambling Commission licence. The figures come from our checks of each bookmaker.

Unibet3.9 out of 5Bet £20, get £40 in free betsCash out, bet builder, live streaming, acca insurance, odds boosts; live chat; apps on the App Store and Google Play

Midnite trails all three on rating. Its £30 welcome total matches William Hill and sits below the £40 at Betway and Unibet. Midnite and Betway ask for a £10 qualifying stake, while Unibet asks for £20, so Midnite asks for less than Unibet. William Hill's minimum odds of 1/2+ are lower than Midnite's 1/1 (2.0). Unibet has the widest feature set, against Midnite's bet builder and odds boosts. On support, Midnite has live chat where Betway offers email and post only.

Safer betting at Midnite

Set a deposit, loss and time limit before a series starts. Esports matches run at every hour and in-play prices move quickly, so decide the budget for a match before it begins and keep to it. A free bet, a price boost or a big final is never a reason to raise a limit or chase a loss. In your Midnite account settings you can set a limit on the amount you deposit (on a net basis) or lose within a period, exclude yourself for a definite period, or apply a Cool Off. Gamstop blocks every site licensed in Great Britain at once. For support, call the National Gambling Helpline on 0808 8020 133 (England and Scotland) or the NHS Wales Helpline on 0808 2819 265 (Wales). GambleAware and Gamstop also offer help.

Questions

Does Midnite take bets on esports?

Yes. Midnite takes esports bets from UK customers in its sportsbook. Before a first stake, read the settlement rules for your game and check the series format, because a listed start time is an indication only and a bet stands even if the time shown is wrong.

Can I use the Midnite welcome offer on esports?

It is a sports offer, so an esports bet can count when its market is eligible. Check the market and the 1/1 (2.0) minimum odds before you stake, because a bet that does not meet them will not qualify.

Which esports games does Midnite list?

Counter-Strike, Dota 2 and League of Legends. Match, map, kills and first blood markets are common to all of them, and the game sections above show the markets that belong to one game only.

How long do Midnite withdrawals take?

The method you pick sets the wait. A card is the slowest route, and the wallet and bank routes carry a shorter ceiling than cards do.

Is Midnite licensed in the UK?

Yes. Midnite Limited is licensed by the Gambling Commission to serve customers in Great Britain. Confirming that licence is the first check to make before opening an account with any bookmaker.

Does Midnite have a mobile app?

Yes. Install it only from the official App Store or Google Play listing and check that the publisher is Midnite. Never use a link sent by a stranger.

How do I contact Midnite support?

Open live chat from the chat button, or write by email, Telegram or post, or phone. Support is the first step before any formal complaint.

Can I bet on esports in play at Midnite?

Yes. Bets such as first to 10 kills and map winner can be placed in play on a map.

If you think we are wrong
