Privacy policy
This policy explains what UK Esports Betting collects about visitors, why, and for how long. The short version: the site sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and its server keeps access logs for about 14 days.
1. Data controller
This policy covers the UK Esports Betting website. The name of the data controller has not been published yet, so this page does not name one. Privacy questions can be sent to info@esportsbookies.co.uk.
2. Our principles
We collect as little as the site needs to work and keep it for a short time. The pages we publish ask you for no personal details.
This site is for adults. You must be 18 or over to use it, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18.
3. What data we collect and on what basis
Visitors give us no personal data through the pages, which publish information and ask for none in return.
Server logs are the only record the site keeps of a visit. For each request the server writes one line in its standard combined format, holding your IP address, the date and time, the page requested, the response status and size, the referring page and your browser's user agent string.
We use the logs to keep the site running and secure, for example to find errors and abuse. We do not use them for analytics or advertising. Our basis is legitimate interests, because running a secure site needs these records.
The site sets no cookies of its own, uses no analytics and stores nothing in your browser. Its short inline script only works the page, such as the phone menu and the More menu, and stores nothing. The cookie policy has the detail.
4. Third parties and external links
Viewing a page sends your visit to no outside server. Fonts are served from the site's own server, not from Google Fonts, and any bookmaker logo you see is a copy served from our own server, not loaded from the bookmaker.
We pass no personal data to any service provider. We would disclose data in response to a legal request only where the law requires it.
Bookmaker sites are not ours. If you follow a link to one, you leave this site and that bookmaker's own privacy policy applies to what it collects. Read it before you register.
5. Transfers outside the UK
The site is hosted on a server in Germany, outside the UK. That is where the logs are written and kept. The server is a Hostinger KVM 4 server.
We know of no other transfer of personal data outside the UK.
6. Retention and data security
Access logs are rotated daily and kept for 14 rotations, then deleted, so a log line lives for about 14 days.
Nothing else about a visit is collected, so there is nothing else to keep.
For security, we rely on the logs staying on the server, which is the only place they are held. We have not recorded other security measures to describe, so this page claims none.
7. Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have rights over personal data held about you. In plain words, you can ask what we hold about you and for a copy of it. You can ask us to correct data that is wrong, to delete it, or to limit how we use it. You can object to our use of it where we rely on legitimate interests. Where it applies, you can ask for your data in a form you can move elsewhere.
To use any of these rights, write to info@esportsbookies.co.uk. The only personal data this page records is the server log, which is deleted on a short cycle.
If you are unhappy with how your data is handled, you can complain to the regulator, as the next section explains.
8. Right to complain
The privacy regulator for the UK is the Information Commission's Office (ICO). It says: "In most cases, we recommend that you raise your concern with the organisation first and give them a chance to put things right." It adds: "If you’re unhappy with the organisation’s response, you can then complain to the ICO."
The ICO sets out the steps on its data protection complaints page. Its number is 0303 123 1113.
9. Changes to this policy
We post any change on this page and update the "Last updated" date at the top, so check the date. The terms of use are the other page that governs your use of the site.
